This policy complies with Bill 25 (An Act to modernize legislative provisions as regards the protection of personal information) in force in Quebec.

  • Collected when subscribing to the newsletter or creating an account (if applicable)
  • Purpose: Communication, notifications, customer support
  • Legal basis: Consent

Session cookies:

  • Used to keep your session active and identify you while browsing
  • Purpose: Technical operation of the site
  • Legal basis: Legitimate interest (service operation)

Analytics data (Google Analytics):

  • IP address (anonymized)
  • Browser and device type
  • Pages visited and visit duration
  • General demographic data (city, country)
  • Purpose: Site improvement and understanding of use
  • Legal basis: Consent (via cookie banner)

2.2 Data we will collect in the future

Real estate simulation data:

  • Purchase price, rental income, expenses, etc.
  • Purpose: Saving your simulations, history, comparisons
  • Legal basis: Consent and performance of the service
  • Note: This data is not yet stored. We will inform you before implementing this feature.

Payment information (via Stripe):

  • Name, billing address, card details
  • Purpose: Processing payments for premium subscriptions
  • Legal basis: Performance of contract
  • Note: Card details are processed directly by Stripe and are never stored on our servers.

We use your personal data to:

  • Important notifications regarding the service

International transfers

Some of our service providers (Google, Vercel, Stripe) are located in the United States. These transfers are subject to appropriate safeguards in accordance with Bill 25.


5. Data retention

Email address: Retained as long as you are subscribed, then deleted within 30 days of unsubscribing

Session cookies: Automatically deleted when the browser is closed

Google Analytics data: Retained for 26 months, then automatically deleted

Simulation data (future): Retained while your account is active, deleted within 90 days after account closure

Billing data (future): Retained for 7 years for tax compliance (legal requirement in Canada)


6. Security of your data

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your data:

In accordance with Quebec's Bill 25, you have the following rights:

You may request the correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.

✅ Right to erasure

You may request the deletion of your personal data (except where legally required).

✅ Right to data portability

You may receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.

You may object to the processing of your data for marketing purposes.

✅ Right to withdraw consent

You may withdraw your consent at any time (does not affect the lawfulness of prior processing).

✅ Right to lodge a complaint

You may lodge a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (CAI).
